Civil Engineering is considered as an oldest Engineering Discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment. It is the most demanded Engineering Discipline in Nepal as well as all over the world. Civil Engineering as the profession in which a knowledge of the mathematical and physical sciences gained by study, experience and practice is applied with judgment to develop the way to utilize economically to the material and forces the nature for the progressive well-being of man. The Department of Civil Engineering in UESC is committed to provide the highest quality education to the students who are interested in Civil Engineering. This department has justifiably provided the quality education of its academic programs and it is keeping pace with the latest developments in Engineering Education. The students are exposed to practical knowledge through frequent site visits to hydro-power, irrigation sites, road projects, and different educational tours. UESC is equipped with all the necessary laboratories for Civil Engineering. Our goals are to prepare our students with a technical background anchored in the fundamentals of Civil Engineering together with the breadth of related knowledge needed to follow diverse career paths in Civil Engineering and other professions.
